Sameer Salam is the Business Head for EMEA – New Materials Performance (Engineered Materials) at UL Solutions. In this role, he leads the expansion of advanced performance testing services for engineered materials across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, supporting industries such as automotive, energy, electronics, and infrastructure.

Previously, Sameer headed UL Solutions’ Wire and Cable business for the Middle East & Africa, with a strong focus on fiber optics. He played a pivotal role in establishing and scaling three state-of-the-art testing laboratories in the Middle East, significantly strengthening UL’s fiber optic testing capabilities and revenue growth in the region.

Sameer holds a degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and brings deep experience at the intersection of materials performance, fiber optic technologies, and market development across emerging and mature markets.
