Haider Al-Lawati is an AI professional, trainer, public speaker, educator, and researcher with over 17 years of experience in the telecom, IT, and academic sectors. Throughout his career, he achieved a number of successes including winning more than 10 awards and scholarships. In addition, Haider has spearheaded diverse projects encompassing network planning, strategic and operational planning, project management, and innovative ICT solutions. His academic journey led him to achieve a Ph.D. from the prestigious University of Toronto in Canada. Following his Ph.D., Haider delved into cutting-edge AI research, contributing to both academia and industry in Canada. Besides his Ph.D. degree, Haider holds multiple AI and Data Science certifications, most notably the Chief AI Officer (CAIO) certificate from a Canadian institution. His recent transition to Oman reflects his commitment to driving AI initiatives and projects within the Sultanate. He is the head of AI department at a leading Omani technology firm. He also provides his advisory to the Omani government on matters related to AI and technology. As an educator and a trainer, Haider developed and taught ML/AI-related courses at a college/university level and delivered a number of AI trainings to industry professionals.
