This workshop provides a comprehensive overview of the evolving landscape of Passive Optical LAN(POL) in the MENA region, and brings together leaders in the optical industry in the MENA region and the industry to discuss how POL can reshape the network architecture and enable the new value of enterprises, and discuss in depth the key drivers and opportunities for the rapid development of POL in the MENA region. It will also release the first regional POL development roadmap to help enterprises stay ahead of the wave of digital intelligence and have green and sustainable development capabilities.

This workshop provides a practical deep dive into designing fiber and edge infrastructure that is digital twin ready from day one. It connects key connectivity decisions such as topology, resilience, aggregation points, pathways, and in building readiness to real operational outcomes including sensor onboarding, video and AI workloads, and command and control integration.
The session also covers minimum asset and data requirements, interoperability patterns, and cybersecurity and privacy by design controls required for scalable deployment across urban districts. Participants will leave with a concise Digital Twin Readiness framework and an actionable checklist that can be applied immediately by city owners, operators, and delivery teams
